Watchdog allows Rossiya Airlines' unit to service foreign jets
MOSCOW, Mar 23 (PRIME) -- The Federal Air Transport Agency has allowed the technical department of Rossiya Airlines in St. Petersburg to carry out maintenance works on the foreign aircraft registered in Russia, the airline said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The technical department of Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot Group) in St. Petersburg has attained an extended certificate… to fulfill technical maintenance of aircraft produced abroad and put on the state register of the Russian Federation," the statement read.
The company said that the certificate covers servicing of Boeing and Airbus planes.
